Our school’s proximity to the Coffs Harbour Jetty and beach means that we can offer a range of unique learning experiences to students.

Our school offers a relevant and diverse curriculum, including several vocational education courses, school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, and our Year 10 Skills for Work class.

Our school offers a number of opportunities for the extension and enrichment of students who have high potential or are gifted, as well as inclusive education classes and support for students requiring additional support with their learning.

Principal's message

Coffs Harbour High School is a comprehensive secondary school located on the traditional lands of the Gumbayngirr Aboriginal people on the NSW mid-north coast. It is the original high school in the district, which opened at its present site in 1938.

The school has an active and committed Parents and Citizens' (P&C) Association, as well as robust connections to the community, which support the transition to work and further study for students, including School-Based Apprenticeships/Traineeships (SBATS), work experience, TAFE, and University study.

The school offers an extensive range of intervention programs to support students' social and emotional wellbeing, including a Wellbeing Hub with a full-time Student Support Officer, as well as a program of camps and reward excursions that promote student wellbeing and participation. We have a long and proud history of sporting success, with a significant number of State and national-level representatives across various sports and activities each year.
